The Maven project specifically involves training algorithms for use in aerial flybys (drone specific mainly). Using AI to identify potential threats (or areas of interest) that the UAV's capture from their fly-bys
(Ideas behind the design) The challenge was to use traditional symbolism but with a modern style/approach rather than entricate 18-19th century detail.
The Seal/coin representations: The background of the front of the coin is ‘0’s and ‘1’s in a spiral (binary code). The eagle represents the ‘maven’ protecting the globe with the eye of providence overseeing both the human aspect and the code. The back is based upon a ‘tensor flow’ algorithm with the endless knot representing the union of wisdom and method with the four core values of the project’s unit and the 50 stars encircling the algorithm. The project is code named ‘maven’ which means ‘expert’. It was a lot of fun creating something that was a fusion of modern mixed with traditional symbolism.
The latin translated (literally) to English is: Dangers Exist. Find the threats. Solve problems" It speaks as "you should do x'" ` We Make Artificial Intelligence for use in the modern age."
